ANZAC Day
We have been learning all about ANZAC Day and what it means. We have read some stories and have done loads of thinking and talking.
On Monday we learned about Poppies.
On Tuesday we listened to the Last Post.
On Wednesday Mish came to visit us in her uniform. Wow, she looked very fancy. Thank you Caleb for sharing your mum with us.
On Thursday we played spinners (2up). This is a game they played during the war.
On Friday we had our school ANZAC Day celebration. What an awesome day. We got to share our learning and learn a whole lot more. We got to play spinners again and build ANZAC Cove in the sandpit.
Birthday bubbles
3 birthdays in one day! So many bubbles!!! Thanks Luca, Jaxon and Toby. You guys are excellent bubble blowers!
Welcome to term 2
Wow! What a busy start we have made to term 2. We are starting to plan our reading and maths time using the must dos and can dos. In the morning before the bell we do our planning. It is important to remember to chose the activities we need to practise to grow as learners.
This is how we plan our maths time.
We make sure we have all the must dos and some can dos. We can put them in any order. We love to have a brain break so we stay fresh.
